“Socialist Ideas in Action” is a collection of over 22 articles mostly from past issues of New Socialist magazine. The articles focus on a variety of ideas and issues that are central to socialist analysis, such as capitalism, class, socialist feminism, socialism and native Americans, patriarchy, racism, lesbian and gay liberation, immigration and revolutions. There are also articles on socialist activism that deal with such issues as self-organization, coalition politics, anti-war organizing and class struggle in the Canadian state. Finally, the collection includes a few helpful discussions and ideas on how socialists should work together.
